For files that are too large to send via e-mail, we recommend sending them to us using File Transfer Protocol (FTP). To send files via FTP, you’ll need an FTP client. If you do not currently have an FTP client, you can download FileZilla here. FileZilla is a free FTP client and is compatible with Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Once you have downloaded and installed FileZilla, you are ready to begin sending files.
Instructions for using FileZilla to upload files:
Once you open FileZilla, the program window will look similar to the screenshot on this page. The toolbar with the 3 highlighted fields is called the quickconnect toolbar. This toolbar contains four blank fields: Host, User ID, Password, and Port. In the (1)Host field, type in the Fort Nassau Graphics Server Address: ftp.fortnassaugraphics.com ; In the (2)User ID field, type: anonymous ; leave the Password and Port fields blank and click the (3)Quickconnect button. The left pane displays the files and folders on your computer. The right pane displays files and folders on the Fort Nassau Graphics FTP site. In the right pane, double click on the “incoming” folder. This is where your files should be placed. Once you are in the “incoming” folder, if you are only uploading a single file, navigate to it in the left pane, and either double click it, or right click and select “Upload” to upload the file. If you are uploading multiple files, right click inside the right pane and select “Make directory”. Type in a folder name that describes the job these files are for, and upload your files to that folder. Once your files have finished uploading, simply close the application, and you’re finished.
